Spazkid
Cory James Beck, better known online as Spazkid or simply Cory, is an American animator, artist, voice actor, game developer and musician. He is responsible for various Friday Night Funkin' charts and helped with character design and animation for Week 4.
Involvement
During the development of Week 4, Spazkid, a close friend of PhantomArcade, helped design the week's opponent, Mommy Mearest; specifically, he suggested that Mommy Mearest had garter-belt straps.[1] Spazkid also helped with Mommy Mearest's animations in Week 4,[2] having helped design her poses.[3] In fact, in her Flash file, he is credited in a sketch of her left pose.
During a live stream on the 4th of May, 2024, PhantomArcade revealed that Spazkid is helping with "management in charting duty," saying he created the bases for the charts of the ERECT remixes and organized all of the song charts in the WeekEnd 1 update.[4] In addition, he has also recharted previous tracks, including Spookeez, Monster's eponymous song, M.I.L.F and Stress.
Trivia
- Prior to Spazkid's official involvement, Pico's eponymous song sampled audio of him and PhantomArcade laughing after the latter sent Kawai Sprite leftover audio the two recorded for something else.[5]
- According to PhantomArcade in a live stream, Spazkid helped animate Pico's "Great" rank animation; PhantomArcade said that the animation was going to originally have Pico shoot more stuff while he and Spazkid were discussing ideas.[6]
