Tiago "Tee" Lopes is a Portuguese-American musician, DJ and sound designer. He is best known for creating music for the Sonic the Hedgehog series, starting with Sonic Mania. He is a guest composer for Friday Night Funkin'.

Involvement

Lopes' involvement with Friday Night Funkin' began with a Tweet on the 17th of June, 2024, when he asked "Does my fanbase enjoy FNF?",[1] to which he replied "Just asking"[2] and "for a friend"[3] afterwards. Outside of pure speculation, not much would be known until months later, in November, when during a live stream, PhantomArcade read a $60 donation message from a user named Thatkid 143, describing it as "a cryptic message that just says... 'Tee Lopes'. That's an interesting message to send; it's hard to even really decipher what it could mean."[4] Some time later, on the 30th of March, 2025, he responded to Lopes' aformentioned Tweet months later stating "good question";[5] all of PhantomArcade's comments regarding Lopes seemingly confirmed that the latter was involved with the game in some way. Eventually, on the 31st, and with the release of the Pitstop 2 update, Lopes was confirmed to be a guest musician for Friday Night Funkin', having co-composed Pico's version of Senpai's eponymous song with Saruky.

Trivia

  • The night before the Pitstop 2 update released, Lopes tweeted "have a Fantastic Night, Folks!",[6] with the final three capitalized words spelling out "FNF", an abbreviation for Friday Night Funkin' and another hint that he had joined in on the soundtrack.
