Needlejuice Records is an American independent record label located in Nashville, Tennessee, that primarily releases physical media for smaller artists, mainly artists who create alternative music. They have collaborated with The Funkin' Crew Inc. to ship official merchandise, such as the first volume of the Friday Night Funkin' soundtrack, on physical media. The list of physicals includes CD, cassette, MiniDisc, and vinyl, with the vinyl for Friday Night Funkin' - The Official Soundtrack Vol. 1 having 10 variants plus one Kickstarter variant. They are being sold via the Needlejuice Records Bandcamp and the official website.[1]
Needlejuice Records' releases are mastered by Angel Hair Audio.
Involvement
Needlejuice Records' involvement with Friday Night Funkin' began when the company tweeted an image promoting an official vinyl, CD, and cassette tape release of the game's soundtrack in early April 2021.[2] Both ninjamuffin99 and PhantomArcade would later confirm the collaboration on their respective Twitter accounts, promising more information soon.[3][4]
On the 18th of April, 2021, The Funkin' Crew Inc. would launch a Kickstarter campaign to turn Friday Night Funkin' into a full game. It was there that Needlejuice's collaboration was fully revealed, as it was explained that the company would be producing and shipping physical media for Friday Night Funkin' - The Official Soundtrack Vol. 1.[5]
Ever since then, Needlejuice has continued to be the main distributor of physical media releases for the game's music, along with other merchandise such as shirts, stickers, figurines, and posters.
