― Twitter bio
Eric Myllyoja, better known online as EliteMasterEric, is an American programmer, software engineer, and game developer. He is a co-programmer for Friday Night Funkin', being responsible for helping code the game alongside ninjamuffin99 and fabs.
Involvement
Eric started out as a fan of Friday Night Funkin' when he watched a video for the mod The Full-Ass Tricky Mod in July 2021.[1] Eric would later develop Enigma Engine, a modding engine for the game forked from Kade Engine. Enigma Engine's primary feature, ModCore, allowed for atomic, data-driven mod loading using the Polymod library.[2] The engine was retired in January 2022 after Eric was hired to work on the official game, which ultimately had all of the key features of Enigma Engine implemented into it with refactors and improvements.[3]
Eric was initially recruited by The Funkin' Crew Inc. as a contractor; he would eventually be hired to work full-time on the game in August 2022.[4] Eric is responsible for helping to code certain aspects of Friday Night Funkin', like gameplay events, the chart editor, the input system, bug fixes, mod tools and support for the base game engine, and more.
Trivia
- Eric uses a persona for most of his online activity, that being of a blue oni.
- Eric has his own blog/website independent of the one for Friday Night Funkin'. On that website, he mainly talks about software and goes into more detail about himself.
