Ivan Odongkara, better known online as IvanAlmighty (sometimes spelled as IvanA1mighty), is an American freelance sculptor, artist, and animator. He has contributed to Friday Night Funkin' by creating certain pieces of merchandise for the game and helping design certain pieces of the game's UI, as well as providing the voice for Darnell.

Involvement

The earliest known instance of Ivan being involved with Friday Night Funkin' is when both him and PhantomArcade pitched the idea to create figurines for Boyfriend as early as the release of the demo.[2] Later, during the Kickstarter campaign, it was revealed that a large exclusive figurine of Boyfriend modeled by Ivan (not related to the original pitched figurine) would be shipped to the first 50 people that pledged $300. On the 30th of April, 2024, the same day the WeekEnd 1 update released, a small figurine of Boyfriend would be revealed and later available on Needlejuice Records' store.[3] A few days later, on the 2nd of May, Ivan would write a Twitter thread detailing how he sculpted both the Kickstarter figurine and the figurine available for retail. He would also reveal that a figurine for Girlfriend that will be sold at a later date was also sculpted by him.[4][5]

On the 25th of April, 2022, PhantomArcade would go live on Twitch with a stream titled "FNF work, it leaked, no point in hidin it",[6][7] in which he discussed the leaked WeekEnd 1 level and worked on some sprites for Nene. In this stream, PhantomArcade would reveal that they were real, and that Darnell's vocals were provided by Ivan.[8]

According to the game's GitHub page, Ivan also helps design the UI for the game. The earliest known instance of Ivan helping design UI for Friday Night Funkin' was in late 2020 when he created a mock-up menu for Freeplay mode. However, his mock-up was quickly scrapped as the developers felt that it was too cluttered and didn't fit with the aesthetic of the game.[9]

Trivia

  • Ivan would post a sneak peak of the retail figurine on the 18th of March, 2022.[10]
  • In the Twitter thread detailing how he made the sculptures for the Boyfriend figurines, Ivan would also reveal that the image labeled "week54prototype" in the game files was used as a reference on how to model Boyfriend in a 3D space.

Way too Space Channel 5 and not enough Jet Set Radio, but the actual one works infinitely better!". From Twitter.
