crisp, also known as still crisp, is an Irish musician and singer. He is known for composing soundtracks for various games and animations, such as for Pseudoregalia and PIGFACE, and for his independent music like his single "CARLOT32". He is a co-composer for Friday Night Funkin'. He helps Kawai Sprite manage the Funkin' Sound Team with Saruky and composes additional tracks for the game.
Involvement
crisp's involvement with Friday Night Funkin' began when he produced fan remixes and fan songs for the game, such as his remix of M.I.L.F released on the 12th of March, 2021.[1] However, not much else would happen until the 24th of August, 2022, when he announced that he was officially part of The Funkin' Crew Inc. in a now-deleted tweet. Later that year, on the 25th of November, during a Twitch stream by PhantomArcade, a user would inquire about crisp's tweet and his role with the game, to which PhantomArcade confirmed his involvement and revealed that crisp helps Kawai Sprite manage the music team for the game and handled an instrumental for one of the ERECT remixes.[2]
crisp's involvement would not be made official until the release of the WeekEnd 1 update, where he was credited for music production with Friday Night Funkin' mod composer Saruky. Currently, he is credited for working on the ERECT remix of Cocoa with Saster.
Trivia
- crisp was previously credited as the sole artist for an old version of Cocoa ERECT; this was accidentally leaked via an old GitHub commit.[3] The current version of Cocoa ERECT was primarily composed by Saster, but some parts of crisp's original remix are still present in the final version.
