• The song's title comes from the word "blam", meaning "to destroy someone else's hard work." The term is commonly used by Newgrounds users to describe a movie or game being removed from the site as a result of receiving an abnormally low community-rated score between 0 and 1.
• "Blam" is also the sound of a gunshot, reflecting Pico's weapon of choice for his mission. Additionally, the title is similar to "blamed", which is commonly mistaken to be the actual title.
• The track lists of the cassette tape and Kickstarter vinyl of Friday Night Funkin' - The Official Soundtrack Vol. 1 have the title of the song spelled as "Blammed!" with an exclamation mark.
• Blammed's introduction sounds similar to "Halloween Theme" from the Halloween soundtrack. However, this may be a coincidence.
